Wondering aimlessly alone, Grove followed the unknown voices. Sitting at the edge of a clearing. Watching as the pack played amongst the fireflies.
Her sent was stolen by the wind, caught by Thistle. Whose eyes scanned the edge of the clearing, landing on the estranged wolf. Quietly departing from the pack, Thistle gently approached the curious wolf. Whose pelt matched the forest floor. Grove lowered her head in submission as Thistle approached. Slowing licking the chin of the painted wolf, Thistle bowed. Wagging her tail, inviting Grove to chase fireflies with the rest of the pack. She found comfort frolicking among the strangers. Who were more welcoming than the silent forest.
