Trees loomed darkly, casting shadowy voids over the moon's gleam sparkling off the snow. A screech echoed through the forest as a mouse met its end in the sharp talons of the silent snowy owl. Its talons gripping a tree limb in a crackle, landing to feast. Though, that wasn't the only sound in the cool air of the tundra forests. The crisp crunch of snow beneath multiple paws echoed through the trees. Whispers could be heard in the still air, "Syv, I don't understand how you like this. I want to get back to summer beaches. I can't feel my paws." A tall lanky male with splotches of black and white over his body and a twinge of aqua coating his back spoke. The strange male had a set of gull feathers behind his ear and a string of fish bone beads, gull feathers, and blue Seaglass strung over his neck. He smelled of the warm salty breeze off the seas. "Mar, stop complaining, are you hungry or not?" A rather muscular she-wolf with thick white fur, speckled with blacks and greys spoke. Her eyes gleamed a bright whiteish yellow in the dark of the night, snowy owl feathers tucked behind her ear with a silver heart locket across her neck. Her scent was of fresh cold dew hinted with a minty pine.
