June 9th, 2015, my mother and I went to the mall. I loved looking at the pet shops. While I was there, I saw a 8 week old kitten that I fell in love with. 10 year old me begged my mom for him. After calling my dad he agreed we could have him.
He was a solid black with white on his neck and gold eyes bombay cat. Got him when he was 8 weeks old and raised him until 7 years old.
October 9th, 2022 at 7AM. My parents were going to a show, while I was asleep. Harley by now was almost turning 8 years old. As my parents left the house and were heading onto the main road, it was clear Harley had been hit by a car and killed. People have asked me how we knew it was him, and because of his collar. When I got home from work that day at 12am. My mom looked rather nervous. Finally she and my dad sat me down and told me the story. Told me how my cat, my best friend for many years is dead. It took a few minutes before I started to cry. I cried until 4 am, and my mom told me I could skip school the next day. But I told her no since I had to study for an exam. Also October 8th, a family friend died a few hours before Harley.
The loss of Harley really impacted my family for a long time. My mom hated mornings, since Harley would sleep on her while she had coffee. I did get Cheeto, my current cat a few weeks after his death. But we miss you Harley <3. I'm so happy that I get to make these customs of you in your memory.
