This was a paradise I never would leave...
My name is A Decade Ago, it may be long but it means a lot to me. I was born in an old town in the middle of nowhere. The only way to get any where was by sled, which meant dogs are very important. My mother was a normal Husky that led the team for years. My father was a wild wolf that was strong and powerful. My mom had my brother, sister and I when she was 4 years old. I, like my sister and brother, had Wolf Blood in our veins. My brother always said he would be like Balto, lead the team and save the day. My sister just wanted the life like any Dog, to live happy and be loved. And as for me, I just wanted to be a part of the team like my mother. But when the time came, they sold us to new homes. My brother was sold and used as a sled Dog and stud. My sister was sold to a happy family that she always desired. I was happy for both of them, but I wasn't sold. I didn't know what to do as I was all alone, I lost my only friends. One day I was sitting out side in the cold waiting for the team to come back home, my mom told me she found my home. I couldn't wait for her to get back. I heard the sled, and looked around it was a wolf pack. I guess my Wolf-Blood couldn't hold back, I howled to them. I heard the Dogs barking. I ran through the snow falling and tripping, my little paws cold from the Snow. My mother walked up after being unchained from the sled, she picked me up out of the snow, and walked me over to the deck and set me down. She sat beside me, smiling. The she said "You know I love you with all my heart and I would never do anything to hurt you... And well, I do this because I love you, I know they will take you in and love you just as much as I do..." I didn't know what to say so I just sat there nodding. "A pack of wolves that have a Husky pup just like you want to take you in." she smiled, Tears running down her face. My eyes teared up, I was scared but I knew my mom wouldn't do this if she didn't feel that I wouldn't be safe. I hugged her, we said our good-byes as the pack came out of the trees to take me away from the only life I knew. I was scared to death, but then I met him...The Husky wolf mix like me was nice and kind, I felt like I was home again with the pack. I was happy because I could always see my mother and now I can meet my Dad for the first time...
