Biography
Boulderheart the wolf had always been an outsider. He watched the other wolves in his pack play and laugh together, but he found himself unable to join in. His heart seemed to be made out of a boulder for he showed no feelings.
He wanted so desperately to be accepted by his packmates but he couldn't bring himself to be part of their group. He longed to feel the warmth and love that the other wolves felt for each other.
One day, as he was walking through the forest alone, he heard a voice calling out to him. It was a gentle, soothing voice that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere. The voice told him that he was special, that he had a place in the pack and that he should not be ashamed of his heart.
The voice told him that his heart, though made of a boulder, was still capable of loving and being loved. With newfound courage, Boulderheart returned to his pack and found acceptance and friendship. The other wolves had noticed his absence and were overjoyed to see him back.
From that day on, he was known as Boulderheart, for his heart was strong and his courage greater still. He never forgot the voice that had called out to him in the forest and forever held it close to his heart.
