Biography Candi was born in a small loving pack filled with nothing but family. She spent her days happily but never quite fitting in. While her relatives spent most the day lounging Candi much preferred training. She worked and honed her skills until she became the best of the pack, and for a while she was satisfied. That was until she met the wolves of the Vally.
The wolves of the valley dedicated each passing moment to bettering themselves physically. Even the pups of the valley seemed to have more skill than her pack. The fist wolf she had ever met from there was a young stud named Leon. He had a brindle coat and amber eyes that melted Candis heart. His frame was fit and he was covered in scars from nose to tail. When they had met Leon instantly hit her with flirtatious charm and the two hit it off. They began training together, although it was mostly Leon training Candi. Then they eventually recognized their feelings and secretly took eachother as mates. For months the two of them enjoyed their secret bliss until Candi insisted they took it public. Leon fought heavily against the suggestion, saying that his pack wasn't very welcoming of new wolves but Candi pushed back saying they couldn't keep it secret forever prompting Leon to admit he had a mate back home and promised it was all arranged and that he had no feelings for the she wolf and truly loved Candi, but Candi couldn't take the heartbreak. She left Leon where he stood and went home.
After a week of radio silence Leon creeped to her den at the dead of night to try and win back his beloved.
Candi was awoken by the sound of rustling and opened her eyes to meet a familiar amber eyes that made her heart race. In that moment she wished she could rip out her heart and scream at it to stop. The male gave her a look full of hope.
"Leon?" She asked forcing her tone to sound icy.
"Candi." He breathed careful not to wake anyone. "Candi please, can we talk? I- I need to make things right, I don't want to continue without you." He pleaded inching closer. For a moment all Candi wanted to do was say yes and bury her face in his pelt but she knew better.
"Leon... Run away with me." Candi said in a even tone despite the fact she wanted to vomit she fixed her eyes on his preparing for his answer. His eyes lit up with joy, but only for a moment. It quickly fizzled out and was replaced with despair.
"I can't, I have a duty to my pack.. they need me, but I need you and I'm ready to tell everyone. Please, come with me to my home and I will introduce you as my mate." Leon pleaded and boy did Candi want to. She wanted to squeal and jump around like a pup but she had so many questions.
"But what about your mate?" Candi asked causing Leon to wrinkle his nose.
"I do not want her and I will make it very clear as long as you come with me." Leon promised causing Candis happiness to waver.
"But.. you have yet to tell her?" Candi asked.
"Well- I"
"You two are still together?" Candi pushed.
"Yes! But-"
"I'll be leaving tomorrow Leon. At sunset you will find me at our spot by the river. When the sun falls below the horizon, I'm gone... with or without you. Don't say anything now. I'll know your answer tomorrow." She said with a flick of her ear then forced herself to turn away from him even though it felt like driving a antler into her heart. Leon sighed and laid his head on her for a moment muttered a I love you then headed out.
The next day ticked by so slowly, she told her family her plans to leave and while they were disapproving, they all flooded her with love and support. At the end of the day she found herself sitting at the river watching the sun slowly sink. For a while she though Leon had clearly made his choice which broke her heart, but just before the sun creeper down fully she spotted the brindle male emerge from the brush. He looked tired but excited.
"Candi, I'm sorry I'm late." He greeted tapping his nose against her affectionately "I broke up with my mate today, won't you come home with me? Allow me to introduce you as my mate?" He asked voice full of hope causing Candis heart to sink. She didn't want to go back to the valley, she had the idea of freedom on her mind at it made her ecstatic and she didn't really like the idea of living in a pack with Leon's ex.
"Leon.. no, please won't you come with me? The two of us can make our own pack! We can make out own rules, hunt our own meals, have our own pups?" Candi offered in a hope laced tone, but the look on Leon's face said it all. Neither were going to budge and both realized that.

For the next few hours the two laid with one another. They stayed interlocked until the sun began to creep up and Leon pushed himself in a sitting position.
"Candi... I've got to return soon. Please won't you come with me?" He pleaded once more. Candis heart shattered all over again but shook her head.
"I'm sorry my love but I have to go. I can not stay but even though we will be apart I will not stop loving you." Candi said shoving her face in his shoulder. Leon went quite for a moment, his eyes full of anguish.
"Ok.. just.. promise that one day you will return to me my love." He asked in a soft tone "and I will promise to be loyal to you for as long as I live, I took a mate before and now your leaving. I will not make that mistake again." Leon promised, Candi sighed trying to hold back any tears.
"I promise." And with those words the two split ways with the hope of one day meeting again, little did they know that a Leon had left Candi with the most precious gift. A heartbeat from deep inside her that grew into a life. A tiny bundle of joy that tempted her to return to her beloved when it was sadly to late.
