Words that had been repeated to Marrok ever since he was a pup. His father had been a cruel and judgemental wolf, ruling his pack through fear and intimidation. And those tactics had worked, but they had also distanced Marrok from his father. His mother had died shortly after he, her sole pup, was born. Marrok's father was not the most devoted parent and used the same tactics on his son as he did on his pack.
It was no wonder Marrok had left his father's pack just as soon as he was old enough to make it on his own. Not soon after, Marrok met a bold and brave wolf from another pack. She had struck courage into Marrok's heart, and he had been moved to ask her to leave with him. And to his surprise, she had readily agreed. They set out on their own, starting their own pack away from the oppression of parents and peers. A pack where they could live how they decided.

Although Marrok may seem large and intimidating, he is a gentle soul with a kind heart. Marrok will put himself in harm's way to protect those he cares about. He is a fierce and loyal protector but also kind and welcoming until he is given reason to be wary.
