Biography Kira had met September while she was in a bad place. Her mate at the time, King, was a cruel and controlling wolf. Him and her had been paired since they were born, damned by their parents to be bound for eternity. A fate Kira was ready to accept, but King was not. He had fallen in love with another female early on in their lives and after she left him due to Kira, King grew bitter towards her. Kira had bent over backwards to try and please her promised mate but after years of rejection, she took on a bitter attitude herself.
Eventually the two were kicked out of their pack to create their own and that's when she had met the spunky fall colored male. The both of them were in their primes, him bright eyed and bushy tailed and her bitter but immaculate. He had approached King and Kira with a wagging tail and confidence only a truly free soul would have. He explained he was kicked from his home due to his beliefs and was now searching for a new home to call his own. Kira was quite skeptical of the wolf, not believing one could truly just be happy all the time but King ate it right up. He offered him a place in the small pack they were forming and September had agreed without hesitation.
It took a few months but eventually Kira warmed up to September, the two would hunt together. They would laugh together, stay up late in the night just chatting. Slowly September brought Kira out of her shell and allowed her a little bit of happiness. The two of them became inseparable which King slowly grew jealous of despite the lack of love for his mate. On multiple occasions King would mention his distaste for their friendship, and each time they both promised that a friendship was all it was, but King always seemed unconvinced. Eventually he started to become more and more jealous which made him become more cruel and controlling to his mate. He began restricting her access to September, sending them on separate hunting trips. Making sure she came into his den before the sun had time to dip below the horizon until eventually even that wasn't enough and tried to force September into leaving.
"I'm tired of your presence here. You've done nothing but ruin hunts and fill Kiras head with nonsense since you got here. I want you gone." King snapped as Kira settled next to September to share a rabbit. September looked at King dumbfounded obviously not knowing what to say. He tried to sputter out some words but it just turned into a jumbled mess. Kira looked between the two males and finally her hatred for her mate boiled up and spilled over.
"How dare you." Kira snarled pushing herself to her paws. "After everything we have done for you, you say he ruins hunts? Well at least he hunts unlike you. You walk all over me, you have since we were pups, and I've allowed it, but I will not allow you to do the same to September. He has helped me and supported me, he has shown me there is more to life then some bitter existence of servitude to a male who would chose a dried bone over my life. So which that being said. I want you gone." She finished with a snarl. King was not happy with the words and turned on his mate with snapping Jaws but that scenario September was more equipped to handle. He intercepted King before he managed to touch Kira and a savage fight unfolded with September eventually coming out triumphant, but hurt. Kira nursed his wounds as King fled.
"You didn't have to do that." Kira said guilt in her voice.
"Of course I did, he treated you wrong. You didn't deserve that. Plus your my best friend." September said with a thump of his tail causing a feeling of joy to spread through Kiras chest. She had never had a friend before, just a tyrant king.
"As you are mine." She said trying to keep her tone even. "September, I- I want to ask you something." She said, knowing her question her stomach started to turn. September looked at her with curiosity in his eyes.
"Ya? Then shoot." He said with a tilt of his head.
"Will you be alpha?" She asked, knowing September's past she k ew he would be hesitant, but the title seemed fitting. September looked shook and almost shook his head no but thought for a moment.
"I will be temporary alpha." September said slowly "but that is just until we find a wolf to replace me, one deserving of the title." September said, this time with more confidence. Kira nodded.
"I wouldn't ask any more from you." She said to her dear friend. And with that she went back to tending his wounds. Over the years the two bonded even more but still never took eachother as mate's. Despite that the two have a unspoken bond and would kill for one another.
