Biography
Yana was born to KaltagÂ’s son Cooper and Taiga, a female husky who was on his sled team. She was one of five siblings, all of whom were trained to be sled dogs like their parents and grandfather. Growing up, Yana was very close with her grandfather Kaltag and loved hearing stories about the serum run and about the great Balto.
As she reached adolescence, she began to really express an interest in running and wanted to be on a sled team. She decided to train with an experienced sled dog, and was elated when she found out she would be working with Kodi, the son of the legendary Balto. She loved having Kodi as a mentor, and eventually developed a not-so-little schoolgirl crush on him. Kodi sensed this, but said nothing about it and instead set boundaries to let Yana know he wasnÂ’t interested, especially since she was so much younger than him and he was already dating Dusty.
Yana knew she had no chance of being with Kodi and was saddened by this realization, but found joy once she made it onto a successful sled team that delivered supplies to workers outside of Nome. As she got older and matured, she finally moved on from Kodi, although she always considered him a friend and role model, and eventually found a mate of her own.

SheÂ’s very bubbly and excited, a bit of a chatterbox. SheÂ’s eager and enthusiastic and is always willing to learn and try new things. SheÂ’s extremely determined and goal-oriented, stopping at nothing to achieve her goals. She sometimes has trouble hiding her feelings, and thus has a very bad pokerface. She can get giddy sometimes, especially around Kodi. SheÂ’s a big people pleaser and hates to let people down, especially her father, grandfather, and Kodi.
