Since she was born, Veil's Heir had known death. She heard the voices of the ancestors of the pack, listened to their stories as the other pups slept. Veil's Heir rarely sleeps at night. Instead, she runs with the moon shining on her pack, and spends time with those long past. All she knows she had learned from Veil, the first Grave Keeper, who has become some kind of surrogate mother for her, guiding and teaching her.
