Bright yellow orbs rush pass, quick flashes of brown, white and leopard fur enter your peripheral vision one second then gone the next. Was it a Ghost? Or a figment of your imagination? Nope you just encountered Flint Of The Forest.


Crisp and clear was the dusk Flint was born on. The sun wolf had just rolled below the horizon. The moon wolf peeked hesitantly up in the east, as if to make sure her flaming sister was out of sight. Oona whined in distress. This was her second litter with Forest, but the hardest yet to bear. Her vision became hazy from the painful spasms that rippled through her stomach. Just as she was about to pass out, her firstborn son slid out onto the nest and she immediately jerked her head up. "I can't believe it..." she murmured. "Another Chimera." Her newborn son wriggled around in a futile attempt to locate her belly. "I think you mean, another one of them freaks. Just like Marian. Eugh, so ugly-" Rianne snorted from the darkness. Her pups' yipping and yapping was the only thing that broke the silence. "Shut that muzzle of yours, Rianne." She growled. "By all the Sky Wolves, your father was Chimera too! And your mother a vitiligo!" The exhausted she-wolf struggled to keep her temper. Rianne was silenced by that comment. "Don't listen to her." She whispered into her pups' ear. "You are beautiful, and one day you'll be a handsome young wolf, just like your father."

Flint bounced happily around the clearing, stirring up moths in the tall grass. Today was the day! He was finally going to his father's pack, now that he was no longer a milk pup! His mother was relaxing in the shade by Marian It was the perfect time to escape Marian's watch, just for a little while. On the edge of the camp, there were old rabbit bones that Flint pounced eagerly onto. In the midst of his fun, menacing growls split the air. He jumped backwards into a thicket, dropping his bone on the ground. Five big wolves were staring directly at him.
