Biography
I was kicked out of the pack and abandoned by my pack when I was first born. My father did not want a potential rival and in the night I was taken out and left in the now where I was found by an older lone wolf. The wolf raised me and kept me alive through a power the old wolf possessed. As soon as I was old enough to venture on my own without needing a mother's teat, she disappeared in the wilderness and I was left alone.
Not too long Orchid and I collided and she named me Yori for the trust we both shared. Winter was already upon us but we had no idea how it was going to affect our lives. I would catch a rabbit here and there as well as she. We found a den that was near a clearing. We curled up during the cold nights to stay warm, however we could tell something had lived here before. Old, rotted straw and twigs lined the floor. It kept us well enough.
One morning Orchid had left to find some food before I had woken. Not telling me where she had headed I waited patiently at the mouth of the den. I worried about her safety then worried about how I would survive without her. Many hours passed and she came bounding back with her tail high and wagging.
"Yori~ we have a pack! We will not have to starve anymore!"
"A pack? Orchid... are you sure? I thought we would start our own one day."
"You just need to meet the Alpha, Floinn. He will love you! Promise!"

I stopped a few feet from the den and looked over at Orchid. "Are you sure? Did you tell them I was male? My father got rid of me because he did not want the rivalry."
"No. I didn't tell them but it shouldn't matter. We have a home now Yori!"
Giggling she raced to the den and went straight to Floinn, obviously the Alpha male, and licked under his maw. Some words were passed, as she looked my way. Her tail wagged and so was his. He called out to me, to come into the clearing. I hesitated before I walked out, my head low and tail to the ground. I wasn't a fool, I knew there would be a fight. I sensed this fight.
A growl and then a body on mine biting my flesh, my shoulder. I closed my eyes for a second before my instincts kicked in. I would prove myself; I did not want to be Alpha. I just wanted a home. Growling, snarling. I fought back, pushed against him and ripped my teeth into his neck. I held on to only be pushed off. I held my ground as we both growled and bared teeth at each other. He came at me once again and I slipped to the side, his teeth catching on my shoulder as he bit down. I yelped and tried to focus. I first looked at Orchid then I looked at the rest of the pack. Was this worth the pack life? I had done nothing wrong but be a young male. Nevertheless, I backed off, pushing him off my shoulder as I exhaled and went to a neutral stance.
"I will not fight you anymore. This is worth neither my life nor our blood. Please take Orchid. She is my best friend and helped me survive in a world that threw me out in the cold snow. I was raised by an older wolf who cared for me until I could live without a mother then she too left me. Her cool blue eyes will always shake my soul as well as her dark black coat and singing voice. I am not meant to be in this world." I relaxed and sat in front of the Alpha looking intently into his eyes. As another older male sat by his side.
"Floinn," Zeferus said with annoyance in his voice, "you attacked this young male not knowing his intentions. You accepted me without question as well as Akiro. Are we not building a pack? Did you not want a big pack one day? What was your intent in making this pack Floinn?"
I glanced over at Floinn as he was in deep thought. I saw him sigh as she stood up and walked over to me. "Zeferus is right," He said, "I made this pack so one day we would have the strongest and maybe even the best pack in the land. We are welcomed to have you, Yori was it?" He gave a smile as he licked my shoulder apologetically. He backed off and nodded toward Orchid as he walked away, the rest of the pack crowding him.
Orchid started licking my wounds staying silent. I sighed and licked her cheek. "I told you I would get accepted in the pack." She smiled as she wagged her tail and finished mending my wounds.
Thus how Yori was accepted into the pack.
