Slate was just a scrawny cub hiding behind some rocks while Siren was on a walk around the territory, she of course brought him back. At first He and Ghost had some problems so he simply avoided him. Although those initial pretenses were worked out Slate still has little interest on interacting with Ghost, mostly due to his attitude, he is also PAINFULLY unaware of Ghosts obvious feelings for both him and Sky, who Slate is very good friends with.

A Hard worker, Slate is almost a picture perfect definition of a leader, save for his lack of confidence. He is also a little socially awkward and often does without thinking. Slate does his best and his skills for tracking have been a large help in Runaway's surplus of food during the winters.
