Thistle was quiet, Keyword WAS. Once Blood came however they were quick friends due to their similar age and now hes Blood's Partner in crime. Plus, Thistle's and Blood's friendship brought the shyier pup out of his shell.
Thistle's story of coming to the Runaway pack is a little more sad. Ghost and Molten and found a Deaf injured rogue on their territory, who basically begged them to take her last surviving pup, Thistle. They did, and when Siren was told of it and went to bring the she-wolf back As well, she was long dead at the claws of her own mate.
When the two trouble-some pups grew, it took a matter of weeks for Blood to be named as the new successor, and a few more weeks for him to become alpha, and while Thistle is fully supportive of his friend, he knows the younger males plan. This has given Thistle the opportunity of a lifetime, The position of right hand to the Alpha, a position he doesn't know if he should take..

Alone, Thistle is rather shy. He just finds it awkward to talk to the older wolves or older pups who have nothing in common with him. When Blood comes though is when the trouble started from the two pups. Constantly wanting to explore and 'help', which rarely actually helped any but most of their packmates find it endearing.
