BACK STORY
Winterheart was born into a small pack, only her parents and a couple of others. It was the dead of winter when she was born, the worst time to be weak. She had two siblings, an older sister named Fla and a younger brother called Smoke. Smoke died a few days after birth, unable to withstand the elements. Winterheart, often called Winn by her sister, loved the ice and cold. She was often brought back into the den after escaping to romp in the snow. However, when spring came, her dreams of growing up to lead the pack were burst. Her coat abruptly changed from a snow white to a coal black that covered most of her body. Horrified, her pack took it as a bad omen and cast her out fearing for their lives. The elder told them when a wolf's coat changed to black, their soul was being corrupted. Her sister Fla, however, loved her dearly, and fought to keep her in the pack. Losing the argument, she was forced to watch her beloved sibling leave. Winterheart lived on her own for a month before nearly perishing from lack of experience. Taken in by a wolf named Quicksand, she was nursed back to health. He soon brought her to his pack where she fit in, even becoming very close friends with another wolf who also had a coat almot never seen, called Firelord. Winterheart continued to live in the pack that had become like a family to her, but still remebered her sister. On lonely nights you can still find her howling at the moon, in hopes that another howl would answer her, giving her hope that she might one day be reunited with her sister.
