Biography It was raining and there was a terrible flood. His mother had left him in a rotting log as the pack that owned the territory chased after them. It was all he could remember.
The next day, Takeo woke up light-headed. Only 7 months old, he was left alone, to fight for himself in a place he had never experienced without his mother. Many years had passed and he was still alone, living in abandoned dens, and always on the run from nearby packs. If they knew Takeo was in their territory, they wouldn't stop until they found him and killed him. Just like what happened to his mother.
As he was wandering through the woods, he caught the scent of elk. He followed the trail and stalked his prey. There was another scent but he ignored it, thinking it wasn't a big deal. As Takeo moved closer to the prey, the other scent got stronger. It smelled like another wolf was there near him, ready to fight for the prey. Takeo lunged at the elk but was tackled by a male wolf. The elk got startled and ran off into the forest.
The male wolf was a tad bigger than Takeo was and older too. He already had his grey muzzle coming in. With a shaky voice, Takeo said, "Um, sir... Would you mind getting off me...?" He saw the other wolf's eyes widen a little as if he had forgotten he was on top of Takeo. "I'm so sorry," he said. "Uh, my name is Apollo. How about you?" Takeo thought that he would come out with an angrier tone but he was glad that Apollo wasn't mad.
"My name is Takeo." He looked at the way the elk had run. "I'm sorry that I ruined your hunt." Apollo looked at Takeo with a forgiving look on his face. "It's alright. You were probably hungry as well." Takeo looked at Apollo which now seemed to look like he had an idea. "How about I take you to my pack? There's plenty of food there. We could eat together?"Takeo didn't like the thought of seeing a pack again but he thought that maybe Apollo's pack was different? "Sure. I guess I'll go," he said.
They walked together and laughed with each other on the way. When the wolves got to the clearing, Takeo's eyes widened. The pack was absolutely thriving! Why did Apollo need to hunt? Takeo scanned the landscape. There were pups chasing after one another and the mothers laughing and talking together. Anywhere he looked, the pack was happy all around.
Apollo led Takeo to where they kept their food. Apollo sniffed the ground and dug out a deer. "Here you go," he said, smiling. Takeo started nibbling on the deer as Apollo came and sat next to him. After a few minutes, Apollo asked, "How would you like to stay with us? We have the room." Takeo grimaced. He didn't want to be in a pack let alone near one. But here he was. Takeo was still traumatized because of what happened to his mother.
Apollo looked to the forest where they had come out of. "It's scary in there. You've probably been by yourself for a long time... Please. Stay with us!" He looked at Takeo now. "Stay with me...?" Takeo blushed. He didn't think that his mother would want him to throw away a chance for a new life. He thought for a few moments before saying, "Alright. I'll stay."
