The pack consists of two Beta members, regardless of gender. Each serves beneath one, and only one, of the alphas. That is not to say that they are disobedient of the other, merely that their obligation is more so focused on one.
In a way, both are akin to the most trusted of guards - their place is always at the side of their paired alpha, whether in battle, during the settling of disputes,or in meeting with other packs.
Often the offspring of past betas or, in some cases, alphas, they are groomed from puphood with the intent of one day protecting an alpha with their own life.
♜ Enhanced Elite
The Elites are the higher rank of fighters and hunters ; they generally consist of one or both Alphas, each of their Betas, and the two Gammas. On rare occasions, a Delta may replace a Beta of Gamma.
"Enhanced" represents the Era of Elites; a new name for a generation who's been altered from the past one.
