Never's a star. Never's better than every other wolf here, but she used to be among the best of the best. She would dine on the finest blood-laden flesh, run with a wild jungle breeze through her fur. She used to be top of the heap. And now, now she's here. What frozen-white starlet wouldn't melt in the heat of abandon? She was promised so many things, not with words but with the glances of eyes and the things that were never said. Now she'll never have that. All she has is the pack that she was sent to, a charity case at its worst. Kindness never hurt so badly.

Never is a queen, and queens never stoop to the level of those who antagonize them. She remains regal and aloof, even among the lowlife scum who surround her now. She's not unkind. No, no, she's benevolent to those crawling worms who beg her for any sign of sympathy.
