Character Description

Biography
Nashalya is from an island off the coast south of Arkytior's territory. As a juvenile she was blown out to sea during a hurricane and washed up on the beach. Unable to get back to her home, she trekked through the forest and swamp until she came to a small watering hole, where she decided to rest. Eventually she was discovered by Idris, who had taken the pack's pups out for some exercise. Seeing the young pup hungry and alone, she offered Nashalya shelter in her pack, where she has remained to this day.

Nashalya speaks with a strange, thick accent, though it has lessened a bit now that she's lived outside her birthpack for so long. Her original pack was very isolated, the only wolves on the island, and since they had no allies to ask help of should they need it, they learned a very important skill: healing. Healers were born, not made, and one characteristic of a potential Healer was mismatched eye color, said by the Pack Elders to allow a Healer to see into both the physical world and the Heavens. All Healers possessed the trait, though not all that possessed the trait were destined to become Healers.

Nashalya is very skilled in the art, able to make medicines and various concoctions from the plants and things she finds in Arkytior's territory, and has taken the position of Arkytior's very first Healer. She is responsible for helping her sick or injured packmates, and also acts as midwife to the females of her pack. It's a job she greatly enjoys, and she looks forward to the day a pup in her pack is born with the skills and passion for healing that she may share her knowledge with.

Though she holds the position of Arkytior's Healer, Nashalya is also a Hunter, and excels at catching small game like swamp rabbits and beach mice. She is also more than willing to share in any fish that Balthazar brings back to the den. Having eaten so much of it as a pup in her birthpack, it still reminds her of her first family.
