Hello, all.
I'm Quin.
It's April 6th, 2021. I was born on October 6th, 2020. I've been alive longer than my pack has been alive, and I could die at any moment.
In fact, Shanty and Slate were the founders of this pack. Tegany and I happened to be the lucky ones.
My mother passed two months ago, and I am her only alive pup left. My father, who is currently 21, is still thriving, and that could end at any point now.
My father and I haven't been on speaking terms since my mother passed. the only reason we WERE on speaking terms in the first place was because of my mother, who cared for us too strongly to let us drift apart.
It wasn't me, it had been him.
As a pup, a sun bear invaded our den while I was sleeping. I just remember the thumping of the bears paws and my mother's alerting howl, and then I got hit by something hard and there was nothing. I woke up, my mother's slashed face looking down on me, her blood dripping into my eyes. She was breathing heavily as if she had been running. I realized we were outside now, and I squinted my eyes whenever the tree we were under swayed, revealing the relentless sun. She gasped, seeing that my eyes were open, and plunged down on top of me. "Q-...Quin, are you okay?" she sobbed. "Yes mother," I started to cry too, feeling the overwhelming pressure on the back of my head. "Thank the ancestors," she muttered and whipped around.
"REX!" I heard her vicious bark, then I heard him whimper.
"I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU DID NOT GRAB MY SON."
"I, I thought he was dead," he whispered.
"THAT DOESNT MATTER, AND IT NEVER WILL. YOU'VE ALWAYS TOLD ME TO HOLD ON TO HOPE, BUT YOU RAN LIKE A COWARD." The gray wolf howled in fury.
"I'm.... I am so sorry, I'm so sorry Onyx," Rex whimpered. "I'm so sorry"
I blinked my mother's blood out of my eyes, and the pain in my head was so harsh, I faded back into my unconsciousness.
But that was then, and this is now.
I have my own pack, no, my own FAMILY to care for.
He had never been a good wolf, and he never will be. And I know that in my heart. I had given him chances, many of them, but he let me down each time.
Although I may be forgotten, he will never be forgotten. Not be me, at least. I will remember what he put me through.

Today is May 6th, and I turned 19 today.
I could go at any point in these coming weeks, and I can feel it deep in my bones. Snow says he can too. Tegany is trying to deny it, trying to convince the pack that she's fine, but she's coming down with something. It's not good. She shivers in her sleep, and she has one of the thickest coats here. I hate to admit it, because I'm not supposed to be... but I am truly afraid for us. SHAWTY isn't far behind us either. There are so many young wolves filling us this pack now, Serotonin, Iris, Zazel... I just hope they can cope with the clan whenever Tegany, Snow, SHAWTY, and Osamu are all gone. Azazel was the first of us to go, may she rest in peace, but that was a hard thing for every single one of us to go through, especially Willow. He didn't handle it well, Azazel was like his mother. But I'm sure Eileen and Samuel will lead the pack perfectly fine. It's just when we're all gone, I don't know how the younglings will handle it.
This may be the last time I communicate with you, and I just want to say... This pack is one of the best experiences of my life. And tell my pack I love each and every one of them, and that I will still be here, even if my body isn't. I love them dearly.

Quin feels something odd and snake-like touch them, and scrambles to their paws.<be>
Quin draws in a deep, sharp breath and shakes their head to clear their mind.
