the betrothed to the heir of the lark protectorate, duke conrad rules quite the expansive fief. though not officially a vassal of the powerful empire, conrad does pay annual taxes in food and treasures in exchange for his head not being served on a platter, and it is not lost on him that his betrothed plots against him and his lands. he plays the fool in public, and in private, secretly plans for his dynasty to carry on from a wolf that is not crown princess blanche.

conrad's conniving and plotting has resulted in a prize; his bastard son erling, who he quickly legitimized and nominated as heir for his duchy in stead of his children with his wife. it is unknown why crown princess blanche allowed this insult to pass without punishment, some say the duke has discovered something to use against the austere princess...
shortly after this, he has become the prince consort of the protectorate after his father-in-law's death.
