A traveler wandered across the desert. The sand blowing into his eyes. He had just stolen from the King's palace and a gold cup could just be seen, Poking out of his old turn-up bag.

The haze of the sun and the sand blinded the man, And he didn't see as the sand started rolling and shifting. Out came a creature, It's light blue eyes pierced the man. Sand rolled like mountains down its body. Its claws long and sharp gleamed like ambers.

The man fell to the ground with a gasp. As the creature loomed over him.

"You shouldn't of stolen from the King." It hissed. Its voice old and raspy as if it hasn't used it in years. " Since you stole from the king I'll have to take something of your's."

"What? I don't have a thing! I'm just a poor old hermit!" Cried the man.

The creature hissed. "Yesss. But you are forgetting something. They're is something I can take."

"The cup!" The man took out the golden cup and held it towards the creature with shaking hands. "Here! Take it! It has caused me nothing but trouble! Nothing!"

"Too late." The creature opened its mouth. Teeth gleamed white and deadly. "I'm sshhh nothing but a serpent. And for stealing from the king I shall steal your SOUL."
