Biography
Aella is an OC of mine from my story Red Baroness, along with Vixen, and the #5 DG. She was born along with her twin brother Rhys to Stonemead pack, a group consisting entirely of the alpha pair's offspring. Determined to pull more than her weight in the family, Aella set out to become one of the pack's finishing wolves, specialized and highly skilled hunters that would be responsible for going in for the killing blow during the hunt. However, only one spot opened up on the finishing team, forcing Aella to compete with her equally ambitious brother for the placing. Being female and a yearling, she had to think of a way to both impress her father, and blow her competition out of the water.
Aella's solution lay in the craggy mountains of the west, the domain of the Red Baroness, aka. Vixen. She would recruit the renowned lone she-wolf as her mentor, and learn the skills her packmates refused to teach her. It took a lot of searching, and even more convincing, but Aella's enthusiasm, determination, and optimism wore the barren female down. Aella became a quick study, learning Vixen's tactics as a lone hunter after only a few times of practice. This earned Aella a sense of strong admiration from Vixen, as well as affection.
The day came when Rhys and Aella would compete. Each would have to prove their worth by successfully hunting down a medium prey with their choice of three helpers from the pack. Rhys gained the advantage by being allowed to go first, and picked out the pack's best three hunters. But Aella refused to recruit any help. Instead, she had invited Vixen to assist in shepherding the prey.
Together, the pair chased and killed their deer as easily as it would have been with four wolves. The two females' success left Aella's pack members agog---first with Aella's partner in crime, and second with her sudden improvement in skill. Aella easily took the win, but demanded she only join if her brother did as well.

Aella is probably the most stubborn wolf in the entire pack. She is hard-headed, but don't be deceived by that---Aella views the world through rose-tinted lenses, and starry eyes. She's a big dreamer, an optimist, and extremely ambitious. With her raw determination, Aella is able to get almost everything and win the respect of anyone she sets out to conquer.
