Biography
A wolf that enjoys hunting and spending his downtime with his pack-mates. He is also the first Alpha male of the "MidnightWolf" Pack.
History
Shin originally came from a pack that roamed the land of Tri-Shade. The wolves of Tri-Shade envied those, whom were most dominate, most aggressive, and most blood thirsty. Shin's ancestors would constantly hold spars and battle tournaments with the younger pups of their generation in order to see who harbored these three traits within their bloodline. If a trait was not obviously present, they'd constantly hound the individual in hopes of bringing those traits to the surface.
The ones that refused to give in and follow their pack's barbaric upbringing, were often considered the black sheep of the pack. They were, in a sense, raised as part of the pact but treated as outcasts; constantly left on the sidelines when it came to socializing and binding with other pack members.
Shin was known as one of these outcasts of the Tri-Shade pack. When others were practicing battling, testing their dominance, and working on bringing their blood thirsty traits to the surface, Shin was working towards learning to hunt and attempting to socialize by playing with his fellow pack members. The Elders of his Ancestral pack hated his caring nature and sought to steer him away from such behavior; stating that kindness and a caring nature were only to be considered weakness.
When all else failed, Shin's pack worked up a devious plan for his "Trial of Elders" ceremony, that would hopefully gain his heart in alliance to his pack. On one night, they all ventured into the land of the Redwoods. After luring in Shin to go with them, leading him to believe that they were merely on a hunt for prey, they secretively surrounded a lone, young female wolf of the Redwood pack. Hoping to use her as an example of how his traits were weakness, they sought to attack her and have him deal the final blow, claiming it to be an act of mercy.
Shin had been left downwind, told that once the prey was weakened and chased towards him, he was to leap out and kill it as quickly as he could. When the time came, he heard leaves rustling from up ahead of where he was crouched down. After the animal got close enough to where he could tell it was just about to cross his path, he leaped forward. Intent on cutting it off, he hoped to use the element of surprise to subdue what he thought was prey.
What leaped from that bush and almost slammed into him was not, from what he could tell, prey in any way, shape or form. It was, in fact, a young female wolf that had bites and scratches all over her. He paused and just stared at her, momentarily horrified by what he had seen. As scared as he was, the female yelped and attempted to slam into him before making a dash for it.
After falling over, Shin frantically scrambled to get up and dashed after her; in hopes of seeing if she was okay. That's when he realized exactly what his pack had been planning. Once he reached her, he nudged her into a nearby bush before leading his pack away from her. The pack unknowingly followed him until they all lost the scent and once he had the chance, he took off into the wilderness to flee from them.
Hours past before he returned to the young female. From there, Shin worked to nurture her back to health by bringing prey to her whenever he could and staying by her when he wasn't out scavenging. From their forming bond, a new goal was soon formed. They were set on finding a place of their own and forming their very own pack, whether it be by breeding or bringing in and nurturing outcast such as he had been.

Shin is a very caring, Alpha Male of The MidnightWolf pack. Although his past has taught him that some wolves of similar rank abuse their position to seek out more power, he has not allowed this aspect to be ingrained into the family that he sought to create and continues to work towards. Instead of striving to dominate his fellow pack members into achieving what he wishes, he often seeks companionship among-st them to strengthen their bonds within his pack.
He strives to utilize his gentle, caring, and nurturing aspects of his personality in order to strengthen his packs relationships with each other. In doing so, Shin hopes to raise the ones around him in a caring, yet protective environment.
Although he is of a younger generation, Shin is well aware of the day to come, where his presence will be a mere spiritual one. Due to this, his goal is to hopefully pass on his attributes to a younger generational member; hoping that they will prosper for years to come. He feels that DNA has no standing within his pack, in regards to whom he'll chose to transcend the ranks. As long as the male in his stead, harnesses the attributes he wishes to ingrain in them, he'll gladly nudge that pack member to take over for him when the time is right.
His caring, passionate, and nurturing side is not to be mistaken for weakness. Quite the contrary; it is his own, personal strength. He also stops at nothing to protect the ones he cares for and has been known to even jump into scenarios of immediate danger in order to take a bullet so as to protect the younger, inexperienced members of his pack. Shin believes that his position is nothing more then to look out for the well being of his pack, after all.
Preferences
When not hunting or exploring, Shin prefers to bask in being very calm and collected. He loves watching his Mate, Yumi, playing with and nurturing the younger wolves of their newly formed pack. To him, there is nothing more serene then the countless hours he spends cuddled up while on the sidelines, just watching the members of his pack enjoy their gift of life. He also prefers the calm, loving, and playful mood of his current pack over the reckless and chaotic one that his ancestors worked to create.
