Zero's mother and father were neither of them very special. His mother was named Needle No. 6 after the size of the needle her mother got a shot with before she was born. That's how little thought her mother ever put into her. Needle made up for it by loving her pups more fiercely than anything in the world. Her first pup was by a wolf that she had met from another pack, named Futa. She thought he would love her forever. He did. The problem was, she didn't do the same. She would have been content to raise Charge & Go with Futa, but the amount of time that she spent with Futa's pack meant that she also spent a lot of time with his half-brother, Iwai. He was silent, brooding, mysterious, even if he did already have many children. Needle fell for him, and hard. Futa never suspected a thing, and when Needle grew pregnant from Iwai, she decided to get together with him. She left Futa and was going to move in with Iwai when her son was born. Meanwhile, she had taken in Iwai's children, brought them to her pack and looked after them until they could be together. But when Zero was born, they could all see clearly that he had been cursed by the gods, who did not approve of Futa's affair. She was shamed by Iwai's pack, and knew she would have to leave him. Many of his children chose to stay with her instead of joining Iwai's pack. Zero was raised in his mother's pack by his mother and older siblings. Years later, his mother and father got back together, and his mother was on the point of moving in with him when the two died in their sleep, both together at last.

Personality
Zero is infinitely wise, zen, and completely batty at times. He is a very strange wolf, decidedly odd and without much sense about him. Few wolves actually understand what he's talking about, as he's easily distracted and likes to talk a lot of nonsense. More often than not he is quiet and introverted, more interested in his own reality than that of those around him. He tends to ramble on about nothing in particular when another wolf tries to start a conversation. He's not very easy to follow, and tends to jump from topic to topic. Most of his days are spent daydreaming and thinking up stories. He's very popular with the pups because of his long-winded tales of adventure that he often tells them. Zero is also a talented wolf. Though his voice is nothing more than "pretty good," he has an ear for music that many wolves don't. He knows how to create a melody, how to harmonize, and how to create a beat. And music isn't his only talent, either. He's also been known to create elaborate mandalas on the ground, and is a great artists, particularly when it comes to patterns. Once in a while, Zero will have a few words of wisdom to add to a conversation, surprising everyone.

Zero is not much of a father, and because of this, his children tend to leave at a young age. In fact, there isn't a single child of his left in this pack. But he doesn't mind, because he hardly seems aware that he has children in the first place. His siblings are another story altogether. He is incredibly fond of all of them, but especially of his eldest sister, Himitsu no Koi, and the youngest of his older siblings, Yurayura. They all grew up together, and they look out for one another. Zero thinks most of the wolves in his pack are very wonderful, and a select few he just ignores entirely.
