Biography
Nightfang is a serious and aggressive wolf, secure of her place in the pack and fiercely opposed to any suggestion that her family does not belong. She was drawn to Copperstrike for his quiet strength, and although Copperstrike was perfectly happy to let his sister lead, Nightfang had her sights set on being Alpha. To this end, she subtly influenced Copperstrike to challenge his sister for leadership. Once Sunpelt died, it was easy for Nightfang to convince Scorchfur that she should step down to Beta in order to spend more time with her daughter. Nightfang's days as Alpha were the golden times of her life. She had a strong mate, a promising heir, and the loyalty and respect of her packmates. Then it all went wrong. Copperstrike succumbed to old age, and Nightfang was overcome with sorrow. Blood and Smoke, the Beta at the time, suggested Nightfang step down in order to take some time to grieve. Due to her great respect for her Beta, Nightfang took on the position of Beta instead.

Nightfang likes every wolf in the pack, after all, how could she not care about the wolves under her command? That said, there are several wolves she is slightly less friendly with. She has a running rivalry with Barkclaw, as they both coveted Alphahood. She has reservations about her daughter because she is holding her offspring to nearly impossible standards. Although Mistheart isn't smart or ambitious enough to pose a serious threat, his incredible speed still makes Nightfang wary of him. She doesn't like Pinenose for similar reasons, namely that she's highly talented in addition to being smart and ambitious. While Summer is not ambitious like Pinenose, she is still a source of minor insecurity for Nightfang. As stated elsewhere, Nightfang does not trust Maria completely. Winter unnerves many wolves in the pack because of her unearthly beauty. Finally, Nightfang would like to be close to her uncle Spiderweb, especially after her mother Lilysong's death, but Spiderweb is still a little bitter about how Blizzardpaw paid more attention to her granddaughter than her son.
