Biography
Sandfoot found Barkclaw abandoned as a pup during a patrol, and decided to take him home. Barkclaw got along very well with Sandfoot, his rescuer and new role model, and Scorchfur, who was ecstatic to have another playmate, especially one as playful as Barkclaw. He has a strong bond with Spiderweb, Mistheart, Ashes and Dust, Tempest and Ruin, and Copperstrike, and feels it is his responsibility to be a good male role model. He also loves his role as uncle to Copperstrike's daughter. Finally, Barkclaw saw Scorchfur's jealousy over Pinenose and Summer, and gives them the cold shoulder in a show of solidarity. He does not trust Maria or her intentions, and in his old age his patience to deal with pups like Winter has eroded.
