Icarus lay in the shade of an oak tree nearly as old as him, twice. He smiled at the thought, his light eyes glinting in the fragmented light pooling through the leaves above him. Kali would have loved the evening. Ren would have been foaming to hunt. Icarus stood and shook his body free of the leaves and dust, and strode to the river for a drink. Takaomi flopped down next to him, folding his great white wings against his back. "It's good to see you, Icarus. Enjoying the evening?" The male wolf smiled as he sat next to Icarus.
"I am, thanks," Icarus replied. He leaned down to take a drink. The reflection of his light eyes in the water caused him an uneasy feeling in his stomach. "I'm surprised you're not out exploring," he said.
"I was waiting for you!" Takaomi grinned, his tongue lolling out of his mouth.
Icarus' face lit up, and his ears popped up to attention. "Well let's go!" He said excitedly, standing and spreading his huge, snowy white wings. Takaomi jumped into the air with a happy bark, and Icarus braced himself to jump. He leapt straight up, pumping his wings violently against the air, and rose after his packmate. As he cleared the trees and came into the direct warming rays of the dying sun, he closed his eyes and smiled. Here, on the verge of adventure with the open sky out in front of him, he couldn't be closer to his friends.

He was born the child of Jay and Ocean; the first time. He was curious then, and created the alliance The Curiousees. His curiosity and natural explorer's instinct made him a friendly, popular wolf. In his new incarnation, he's no different. Just as curious, just as inquisitive, just as adventurous, with just a little more wisdom.
