Be the Light had quite the quirky mom. LOLV, her mom's name, was either a free spirit or mentally disabled. it was hard to tell. She adored her three daughters, and played with them often. They would spend hours making leaf art or hunting the elusive "jabberwocky" which they had heard so much about. LOLV was always fond of humans, and she kept the only human item she found perched upon her head. For some reason, this messed up her depth perception, and her daughters had to guide her around so she didn't bump into things. She refused to take those cursed things off, though. She also had a way of getting into dangerous situations, and spent most of her life with a deadly snake wrapped around her neck. The three sisters looked after her, and Be the Light learned to be patient with her mother. Though one of the sisters has left now, the other two still take care of their mother.

Be the Light loves to dance. She dances at night and during the day. She dances in the forest, in the fields, in the stream. She dances for everybody and for only herself. She dances to the songs of humans and the howling of wolves and the wind and the rain and nothing at all. She likes to watch others dance, and learn different kinds. She knows she's good, and likes to see wolves smile when she dances. She's a good girl, always striving to be morally and spiritually pure. She values her honor and thinks that the world should be just. She is by no means naive, of course, and wishes she could change the world in many ways. She finds that dancing helps her take her mind off of this.
Be the Light is pretty close with her sister, Destiny Song, though the two don't spend much time together unless it's to care for their mother. Be the Light is patient with her mother and loves her very much, though she sometimes resents the burden. She loves to party with Dope Rock, and gets along well with Canaria, who will often sing for her. She's always had a thing for Rock, but she knows he likes Canaria and tries to get her to see the same despite his protests. She thinks they would be nice together, and refuses to be jealous. She also really likes Ophelia and Dazzling Darling.
