Drogon is a quiet wolf, the kind who wants to talk but simply doesn't know what to say. He seems cold and closed-off, and though emotions rage within him, he keeps it all shut up. He's a master at the settled expression and neutral reply, and it's impossible to tell what he's feeling, when he's telling the truth. He's soft, though, and never allows his temper to show its ugly face. He has sweet, puppy-dog eyes, and loves to cuddle with those he loves. He adores positive attention, even if he has trouble reciprocating. He wants nothing more than to connect with the wolves in his pack, and loves them fiercely and with a protective flame. He knows he can fight, and he promises himself he'll only use that for good.
Drogon never knew who his parents were. He barely remembers being a pup, and all that he can recall is overlaid with pain and confusion. He was raised by Balerion, a crow who had stolen him away from his parents' den. Balerion was power-hungry and longed, more than anything, to be a wolf. He worked Drogon hard, hoping one day to take over a pack of his own through the influence of Drogon's immense power and strength. Drogon worked hard to please his master, and never knew anything but fighting and hunting. And Drogon, fierce Drogon, achieved what few other wolves might - he infiltrated the pack of TillBrook, began killing the wolves. He had fooled them. But still, he felt something odd. A sort of camaraderie that he couldn't explain. And Drogon, fierce Drogon, with his terrifying metal claws and lump-of-ice heart, wished he had a family. So when he was caught, he wanted nothing more than to be forgiven. But that's not what he said, and he was lucky to get away with his life. Balerion, livid at Drogon's failure, determined to do what he had wanted to do long ago. He took Drogon to see the Witch, and asked that their bodies be exchanged. The risk was great, he knew, but he was willing to take it. Unfortunately, all did not end well. The two bodies merged, and left Drogon alone and afraid. If the journey there had been hard, the journey back was worse. He missed his mentor greatly, even if he had never been kind to him, and the jagged ice of winter cut up his feet. But when he returned to TillBrook, he made his apology and asked to be taken in. And luck was on his side.
