Veritas was given her name for a reason. Yes, she tells the truth, but there is always a twist behind it. Her words flow out effortlessly for her, but they are never just the truth. There is always a catch, though it's up to the listener to catch the hints she throws at them.
Veritas is a wise and thoughtful dame, but kind and innocent she is not. She portrays herself as one that is quiet, but in reality she is far from it. She uses a mask to cover her true self. Think of her as a snake hidden beneath a flower. For when that flower is picked, the snake emerges and strikes.
Many hold more strength in their bodies, but for Veritas, she holds more strength in her mind and words. She could never win in a physical fight, but the second she opens her maw, she is the victor. As long as she has her words, she could talk herself out of anything. Call her a manipulator if your must, but it's no use, because she could talk you out of thinking that, too.
