Jay is very perceptive. She often sat around to stare at the blades of grass that twitched subtly due to the many insects pushing past them. No bird taking flight nor grasshopper bouncing ever escaped her watchful eyes. As a pup, her eyes were always glued to her siblings. Separated by a storm, she had been alone for so long. Until a scruffy black wolf showed up one day.
She decided ignoring him was the best option, perhaps heÂ’d leave. She didn't know who he was or if he meant to harm her, so she went about her days as usual...with a wolf stuck to her hind leg.
After many attempts to scare him off or hide, she finally gave in. He told her stories of amazing things, like mountains that stretch beyond the clouds as well as rivers that tear through the deepest canyons. Jays eyes were opened wider than ever before that day, and she decided she had to see this world for herself. It seemed bigger than she ever thought it could be.
