Biography That itch had become an urge, a need, it radiated throughout her body. A pure white she-wolf dug her nails into the soft earth, trying to keep herself from bolting. A grin spread across her face as a window of opportunity befell her, the scent of a lynx filled her nose. A chorus of howls erupted, signaling for the others to move in, but the she-wolf moved away. Her paws thudded against the forest floor, heading for the nearest cliff. The itching feeling was coming full force, spruing her legs to move faster. Her heart soared as the clearing she was looking for came into view, the ledge coming closer and closer. Without faltering she lepted off the cliff, free falling into the lake below. Her name befitting that feeling. Adrenaline rush. Adrenaline rush surfaced from the water with a gasp, an indescribable look in her eyes. She swam to the lake shore and climbed out of the water, eager for more, she needed more. She needed to find something that would stave off the need for a couple of days, but that meant doing something she had never done before. She could hear the faint howls of her hunting party, telling her they killed the lynx. She figured she would get in trouble for running off, she always did, but it was worth it. Adrenaline rush looked around, she never really explored the woods by the lake, maybe she could find something worthy. Adrenaline rush trotted through the forest, she took a deep breath, scenting the air. Something old filled her nose and she decided to follow it, only having some idea of what it was. The smell led her to an old cave, the old stone beginning to crumble away. Her tail wagged as she entered the cave, that prickling feeling crawling over her skin. The smell of bear was lingering on the walls, along with something else she couldn't place. why do you come here? a voice said. The wolf jumped and spun around, looking for the source of the voice, her hackles raised. Come out and face me she snapped. Are you sure? I've been known to scare off even the bravest of warriors. the voice said again, closer than before. Before she could answer a giant black paw stepped out of the shadows, and attached to the paw was the biggest black bear she had ever seen. Its face and body was mutilated with scars, and the skin on his lower jaw was missing. Adrenaline rush sucked in a breath at the sight of the creature. See. Now, what to do with you the bear mused to himself, his blood lust hanging in the air. A voice at the back of her mind told her to run, but her nature kept her feet rooted to the ground. Frozen with fear I see. the bear said chucking, sounding like death himself. A wicked smile spread across her face. Not quite she mumbled. In one fluid motion the she-wolf crouched down and sprung at the bear, her front claws digging into the side of his face. The bear let out a grunt of pain and shook his head, sending the wolf flying. Adrenaline rush landed on her feet and dug her claws into the ground, she was going to kill this bear. Quickly she flanked to his right and jumped towards the wall, pushing herself off she landed on the bears back. She dug her claws into his flesh and bit his scruff, tearing out mouthfuls of fur. The bears blood tasted like iron and left a sickening taste in her mouth. The bear reared up and was now standing on his back legs. Adrenaline rush looked behind and saw her saving grace, a sharp stalagmite was poking out of the ground. The bear staggered back, closer to his death. Swiftly she dropped down from the bear and darted between his legs, she was now facing him. You think you can kill me? You are just a worthless wolf the bear spat out. Adrenaline rush charged the bear, headbutting him in the stomach. She watched as the bear teaterd back and fell on the sharp stone. Well looks like I just did. the wolf said in a calm voice, as if she hadn't just fought a bear who was older than dirt itself. Covered in blood, she rejoined her hunting party. What happened to you? one of the other wolves asked. Oh nothing, just upholding my namesake. she said, that indescribable look back in her eyes. ~Spirited Away
