Biography
Gentleman: a lady Brother from Hell Sister fond of frogs All is not going well You must protect them always Even when you shouldn't And as it happens It was true that you couldn't
Elliem had an upbringing that bordered on unkind. His dear mother was born male, but made the decision to transform his sex into that of a female, spawned perhaps from a deep desire to bear children. Her own pack scorned her for attempting to be something she wasn't, and the few eligible gentleman who would dare touch her after such a scandalous transformation were certainly not men of high standing. Despite this, she had a great fondness for her children, even in the face of their strange mannerisms. Elliem was always a reserved young man, but his defense of his mother's already disreputable character was admirable, if rather lacking in sense. He was constantly chasing after his younger siblings. His young sister had an odd affinity for amphibians that made her most undesirable and her otherwise handsome face was marred by her glasses. His brother was simply atrocious: a most improper and imprudent lover of bloodshed. Elliem was forced by circumstance to defend their honor, and his mother passed on of some illness when he was but a young lad. Her three disreputable children were no longer welcome, and Elliem settled to have his two siblings married off to packs of tolerable importance. Most unfortunately, he was not to be married himself. He had spoiled himself by mating with another wolf before matrimony, and thus was generally unwanted. He earned a reputation as a slut, and was shunned by many pack mates. It was only in his old age that they dared to be rid of him. He has had the good fortune of receiving the blessing of another pack, and though he is too old to wed, he intends to hide the truth of his scandalous backstory for as long as is possible. But even so, scandal has followed him. He was accused of trying to usurp the throne, and his been virtually disgraced. Despite this, he continued to train and hold his head up high. No wolf shamed him. When he discovered Quinn's secret, her human brother hidden in the woods, he held his tongue. Why? Maybe he was just tired of the drama. Maybe he thought family ought to be allowed to stay together. Maybe he just didn't have it in him any more. When Sivi left, Elliem began to gain his respect back. It became clear that he had never meant to take over the throne.

| Personality
"Dignity does not consist in possessing honors, but in the consciousness that we deserve them." - Aristotle
Elliem is an uptight wolf, the kind who knows not how to show affection or how to express any amiable qualities. He is not ill-intentioned, but is always harsh in his manner of speaking. His countenance is that of grave seriousness, though his speech is often brittle. He seems to think it his own job to pass judgement on every wolf in the pack. He is not often inclined to approve of others, but is touched by the kindness he has been shown by these wolves. He has a certain grave togetherness about him that makes him appear a rather gentlemanly wolf. He's getting old now, and doesn't even have the energy to yell at the trainees.
❂
Elliem finds most of his pack incredibly pleasing. He knows they do not have the same fine breeding as him, and has made peace with this. He gets along with Lycklin, despite finding his training methods subpar. Maurice is a bit much to handle. Only Regis he finds much fault with: he's an arrogant fool.
❂
"I do not enjoy speaking of myself. Please, do not think me unkind, but I simply do not wish to revive what memories can no longer serve me. If you intended to ask me of my present character, which indeed seems more likely, I must admit that I am by no means an unbiased judge of such things. Perhaps you had better ask another of the wolves in the pack."
Preferences
Training
He is partnered up with Lycklin for this. It entails training young wolves until they are able to perform the Death Grip. Elliem is a harsh trainer, and is always criticizing. He insists that wolves try their best, and gets irritated at those who don't. He is always willing to do extra training, and gets angry when wolves slack off. He gets irritated at Lycklin, who does nothing but cheer and yet is still the favorite trainer.
❂
Organizing Hunts
Elliem decides when everyone needs to hunt. He also decides who will go. Recently, Hrabro has insisted that him and Lycklin "rest," them being elderly. Elliem tries not to put Hep and Regis together when possible. He sends the wolves out to hunt as often as they're willing, and often has long sessions hunting down monsters and whatnot. He has no mercy.
❂
Relics
This includes storing, identifying, and applying relics. Elliem stores as many as he can, and finds it irritating that they don't have much room. He insists that most get sold, and stuffs in as much as he can. He knows what every relic does and how much it's worth. He goes to visit Montak regularly, and the two old men can often be found arguing over prices. Elliem uses relics as often as he can.
❂
Crafting
Elliem is the only one who knows how to craft many items. He spends a lot of time when he's left alone making different things. He crafts anything he can, finding it comforting. He's even craft things they don't need and then sell them off for practically nothing. He's always keeping an eye out for stuff he can craft with. He refuses to buy ingredients, though. It's a waste of money.
