He never knew his parents, left alone at a young age to fend for himself. He lived alone for a long time, until found by the alpha of a pack. He was given away after breaking one of the main rules of the pack. Striving to stick to the rules, he couldn't understand why he was given away again. He became a stickler for the rules, and tried his best to uphold them. He was once the alpha of his pack, pushed aside when his mate fell truly, deeply in love with another wolf. Still he maintained order as beta male, and when his pack broke up, he told them that he intended to die on this land. Many wolves began invading, and poor Valko could not defend against them. One such wolf was little Suni, who formed a bond with Valko and determined to stay for training. Soon enough, darling Scorching Embers followed. But it was only a year before Suni left, having completed her training. Valko was greatly disappointed - he had thought she might stay. Scorch died of cold during the winter, and it was then that he found Zimski Cvijet. Now he's built a new pack, and hopes to pass away knowing that they are all safe.

Valko has always been true. He once adhered to the laws, upheld them the best her could. But this method betrayed him not once, not twice, but three times, and he lost his will to control. He was content, instead, to watch. He saw the strange wolves, the ones who needed a place to stay, wandering through his territory. And yet he offered them nothing. Now he offers a little bit of kindness, and it seems to be enough. He's like a ghost, silent and serious.

Valko's life and joy is Zimski Cvijet, his adopted daughter and prodigy. He finds pleasure in the company of Cheshi, but does not love her - and she does not love him, he knows. He doesn't resent this, and as a friend she is wonderful. The rest of the pack he feels slightly isolated from, but likes nonetheless.
