Biography
Canis as born as the sole pup to a lone wolf. She was a sickly little pup with barely a hope at surviving her first few weeks. Somehow, the little pup held on, likely due to her mother's undivided attention during that time. Wanting her pup to survive, Canis's mother did her best to train the pup for survival.
At five weeks she began following her mother as she went hunting, and watched the action from the side. At only 15 weeks, she was already helping her mother hunt smaller prey. At 20 weeks, she was participating in ambushing big game.
However, since she had no siblings, she never got to practice any combat skills, and her moves are unrefined at best. Having been taught to never take nothing from no one, and to never accept defeat. It wasn't long till Canis learned an alternative way to fight; sabotage.
At 15 months old, Canis's mother was kicked upside the head when trying to hunt an elk, killing her. Truely alone for the first time in her life, Canis was heart broken and afraid, but she never forgot her mother's training and she forced herself to carry on.
It was during the summer of her second year that a young dispersal started wondering around her den. At first, Canis was unappreciative of him, and let him know by ambushing him while he was hunting. He won the fight, predictably, but Canis did not like to admit defeat. Every time she saw him, she would charge, and every time she would get defeated. So, she resorted to other methods. When he would hunt, she would rush at his prey to scare it away. If he caught something, she would steal it. If he made a den, she would collapse it. If he fell asleep out in he open, she would kick dirt on him...or pee on him, depending on whether she was feeling nice or not.
And yet, the other wolf stayed and never seemed bothered by her actions. By fall, he was still hanging around, and she was growing tired of it.

Canis is a very domineering wolf who must have control over every situation. In her mind, she is the only wolf worth following, and everyone else are just omegas in comparison.
This big girl always get's her way. If someone tries to stop her, she will do whatever it takes to have them...removed. When she doesn't like someone she will make their lives miserable until they get smart enough to just leave. There's no quite telling what she would do, but know that it won't be very pretty.
Even with wolves that have somehow found their way into her increasingly smaller ring of friends,Canis can be an outright jerk. If she thinks someone looks prettier then her, bigger then her, or better in any way, she will stab them in the back.
Yes, Canis has a jealous streak, stemming from her believe that she deserves the best and only the best. She's not even above pup stealing if she thinks someone has better pup's then hers.
Preferences
Canis prefers elk to any other food, but her favorite thing to actually hunt is hare.
Her favorite time of day is noon, when the sun is at it's highest.
Special Skills
Thanks to her mother's constant training as a pup, Canis is a hunting wonder. She's stealthy, fast, and cunning, all of which are good traits to have when looking for dinner.
Canis is not physically strong, despite her dominant attitude, but she makes up for it with her cunnings.
