Biography The bright pelt of Antonio ran swiftly through the trees. A wild crazed look in her eye as she raced through the ferns. The scent of Lovino wafted across her nose, across her path. He had been here. She skidded to a halt. Amulet jingling, she pressed her nose to the mulch covered earth. His scentÂ….so lovely.
Her ears pricked at the snap of a twig. She lifted her head quickly. LovinoÂ’s dull pelt was racing away through the trees. StrangeÂ…. She thought with a cock of her head. A smile spread across her lips. Perfect .
She began to slink after him, following his scent trail back the way she had come. She reveled in the sweet scent of the wolf she loved so dearly. Her amulet tinkled mysteriously as she trotted after him. He was headed back to the pack. Shoot! The smile playing ever so carefully on her lips faded. The thing she least wanted was for him to go back. Antonio began to speed after him, kicking up the rotting leaves of the oaks.
He hoped she hadnÂ’t seen him. But it was very likely. His heart thudded against his chest wildly. He had to get back to the pack. She wouldnÂ’t confront him in front of everyoneÂ….would she? But the thought was gone as he heard footfalls behind him. And the tinkle of AntonioÂ’s amulet. Damn it!
Lovino whirled. “Antonio!” He smiled at her.
“Why hello, Lovino,” his name rolled off her tongue like candy. She loved the way his name played on her tongue. His heart skittered against his ribs as she approached him. “What are you doing out here?” She asked. She inhaled deeply, trying to do so quietly, revel in the scent.
“Just out for an afternoon hunt!” He was nervous as he could ever be. She knows! It wasn’t like he was very good at lying. Lovino didn’t shy away when she brushed her shoulder against his….and didn’t remove it.
“Lovino!” Another female. Who was she? He didn’t know, but she obviously knew him. Antonio’s shoulder was gone.
“Who is this?” Antonio asked. The other female brushed up against Lovino. He was confused and nervous. And Antonio was growing angry. No she-wolf will approach my Lovino like that.
“I...uh, don’t know.” Lovino’s confusion was apparent. And Antonio trusted him. The female looked at the two.
“Sorry, was I interrupting something?” She asked, taking a step back. Her hackles was raised and her tail was raised high.
“No, no.” Antonio replied. “But, can you and I….” she looked at Lovino, who still stood confused, “can we go and talk?”
“Sure,” the female was confused as Lovino probably was. Antonio laughed to herself as they walked off. And I will make sure you never bother my Lovino again!
