Character Description

Biography
Ouroboros slowly awoke, appalled to find his joints stiff from his journey yesterday. He had set out to find more prey, seeing as how the harsh winter had all but demolished the prey. He had ventured through unfamiliar mountains and forests. When night had fallen and the temperature had dropped below freezing, he'd found a small, hollowed out log and sheltered there. He stood and walked out of his makeshift den, the cold biting into his skin, sharper than his own teeth. Outside, the sky above him was dark with looming clouds. The sun hadn't quite broken through the thick, gray clouds. Swirling flecks of white cascaded around him, making him shiver.

His nose and ears were frozen and his eyes watered with the cold. He shivered and decided to press on, his hunger driving him. The flecks of white began to fall harder and faster, impairing his vision. The cold burned his eyes and his lungs felt as if they would explode. The wind howled, sending shivers along his spine. Still, he pressed on, feeling despondent. His weary paws threatened to no longer carry him. He was determined to find what he was looking for. When the sun should have been shining high in the sky, the blizzard that has enveloped Ouroboros began to slack off. He stumbled upon a copse of trees and gratefully ran toward the shelter.

Above him, there loomed several beech trees, with their nuts scattered about. He knew that where there were nuts, there was prey. He scrunched down into a crouch, his dark blue eyes flicking sharply from tree to tree. As the snow stopped, small prey began to take advantage of the clear air and ventured out to nibble at the nuts. Ouroboros waited. He waited for the perfect time to pounce and for the perfect prey to come along. Driven by hunger, squirrels began to venture closer to him, seeming to ignore the wolf. Finally, he pounced. He landed on a large grey squirrel and quickly killed it. He dug in, eager to fill his belly. Again and again he pounced on squirrels and mice, filling his belly.

Could this be the place his weary soul had longed for? Would this be the place he could finally let his guard down and establish a pack of his own one day? Only time could tell. For now, he would enjoy the prey. He would find shelter from the impending storm later. Only time could tell if he could stay. Only time could tell if he would survive the winter. The next step in his life would be to thrive. He could finally relax for the first time since the harsh winter began.
