Puppy-Hood
Nearly right after Emery gave birth, Casey had her pups. As hopped, a female was born and over joyed to be with the pack. She wiggled to Moti, Emery's son.
"They will be the Alphas some day," Alana said.
The pack wagged their tails happily.
Early Scent of Death
When the young pup woke up with her friend, there was somethin awful in the air- a lot of it. When she opened her eyes, her mother was dead. She whimpered loudly, waking the others.
She expected Koda to come to her aid, but that didn't happen. Moti and Emery woke up first, nudging the Alphas. Both were cold.
The pack had lost three of their family.
Last Wolf On The Hunt
Raisa held tightly to her prey, pulling it away from her fellow Beta, and future mate, Moti. He was limping behind her, placing his injured paw on the ground when she looked back at him.
"Go to the den," Raisa said through the prey.
"It's hard to hunt alone," Moti said softly.
Raisa dropped her prey, "I'll be back shortly. Spend time with Alpha and the pack," She said.
"I'll help you catch more prey," He said meekly, starting to tuck his tail between his legs.
Raisa stepped towards him, licking his ear, "I just want you to stay safe. Get some rest."
The Beta Male sighed, dropping his head and rear as he turned back to the den.
"Moti," Raisa said, padding up to him.
Their noses bumped each other, making both laugh.
"Don't worry," Raisa said, licking Moti once more.
Pack On Watch
Raisa's pack had volunteered to watch over another pack's wolves, though she wasn't told why. Sure, they hadn't done any wrong, and one she liked just fine, but the other two, not so much.
She continued on with her time, being kind regardless, just as she was taught to do.
Rules Will Be Broken
For all of the Beta's life, there have been strict rules on just about everything in the pack. Don't eat unless you provide, listen to all instruction, the golden rule- which no wolf minded....
Fourteen years of strict rules- the Alpha's Rule had been broken before, and will be once again.
