From Japanese 春 (haru) meaning "spring".
Fitting, huh?
Everyone always wondered what kind of relationship had formed between Haru and Kasumi. Stronger together, weaker apart. Always together in the day, never apart in the night.
Mutual respect everyone told themselves; friends since pups they said. Lovers some whispered.
Both denied the assumptions, yet who knows if they're telling the truth. They wondered if their relationship could blossom into something more. If it would mean the ending of something powerful or if it meant that everything will fall apart, plucked away like petals.
No one dared to question that far.
Except for Haru.
Kasumi and she had a close relationship ever since they were pups. They barely were ever apart. They were comfortable together. They liked each other.
What if it turned into something more? Had Haru fallen in love with Kasumi? Or was it just the feeling of respect and inspiration? Did Kasumi love her back?
"We're just friends," Haru told herself.
So why did she feel out of place when Kasumi isn't by her side? Sadden when Kasumi had gotten hurt? Scared when the injury was serious? Flustered when Kasumi cared for her?
In the end, Haru left the questions unanswered. But a voice in the back of her head said, "Unrequited love. You love her."
She ignored it.

It wasn't until early Spring that Haru had accidentally confessed. It wasn't meant to be heard. But, with Kasumi's keen hearing that she picked up the destined words.
"I think I'm in love with you." Haru had whispered, soft as the breeze.
Haru was not sure why she had uttered those words. Maybe it was because while staring at the masterpiece in front of her, she subconsciously whispered it.
Or maybe because she had been fed up with holding it in.
Maybe it was all of it.
Seconds had passed, Haru had realized her mistake and now stood in fear of rejection. Wordlessly, she hoped Kasumi did not hear her but apart hoped she would reciprocate the feelings.
When Kasumi had turned and announced her own confession, Haru became even more shocked.
All the anxiety left her upon hearing the words. The demons that had trailed behind her was banished. At that moment, Haru had never felt lighter.

Haru was the second pup brought in to help rebuild the pack. She was formerly brought in for her beauty, however, through some training, Haru showed that she is a worthy battle wolf.
Haru is very clumsy, hurting herself more times than to count. She is a major introvert, but she is very protective caring.
Even with her compassion, Haru had been told that on many occasions, she scared the others because of her ferociousness. Some said that maybe she was a sociopath. (Haru hid away and wondered if she was a sociopath while Kasumi had laughed but always came back to comfort her.)
When she had asked why others thought she was a sociopath, they replied said that Haru was manipulative. She had convinced many to keep following their dreams even to death. Kasumi had also pointed out that Haru had no conscience. In the end, however, Haru had determined that she was not a sociopath for the sake of her sanity.
