Everyone always wondered what kind of relationship had formed between Haru and Kasumi. Stronger together, weaker apart. Always together in the day, never apart in the night.
Mutual respect everyone told themselves; friends since pups they said. Lovers some whispered.
Both denied the assumptions, yet who knows if they're telling the truth. They wondered if their relationship could blossom into something more. If it would mean the ending of something powerful or if it meant that everything will fall apart, plucked away like petals.
No one dared to question that far.
But Kasumi ached for something more between the two of them.
Did Haru not notice how she pinned for her? or does she choose to ignore the feelings?
Does Haru think that the two of them were just friends? Does she love her back? Could their relationship ever turn into something more? or will Kasumi stay longing for the other?
"What if she hates me?" Kasumi wondered.
If Haru did, why bother hanging around with her? If Haru did, why would Haru still stick with her during the night? If Haru did, why hasn't she said or done anything about her subtle flirting?
But Kasumi also asked, "What if she loves me?"
But what are the chances of that?
In the end, Kasumi came to the conclusion of unrequited love. They'll always just be friends. But that doesn't mean that she'll still try to woo her.
That doesn't mean that her heart still aches for Haru.

It wasn't until early Spring that Haru had accidentally confessed. It wasn't meant to be heard. But, with Kasumi's keen hearing that she picked up the destined words.
"I think I'm in love with you." Haru had whispered, soft as the breeze.
Kasumi had whipped her head around, thinking she misheard the latter. But, as the seconds passed, and her head confirmed the words with the evidence being Haru's look of shock and embarrassment, all the doubts and worry disappeared.
The older female also confessed, more confident and enthusiastic than the other.
"I'm in love with you, too," she replied, eyes lit up with excitement.
In the end, it didn't matter that Haru's confession was inadequate to Kasumi's, all that mattered was that all the painful thoughts and demons had left.

Brought into the pack as a pup, Kasumi was raised to be a fearless and vicious hunter. Mentored by Aki and Katsurou, she managed to show that she was the best hunter of the group.
Kasumi is intelligent, cold and calculating. Her beauty attracts many. She is, however, very blunt. She tells those the reality of the world, causing those to give up their hopes. (Luckily enough, Haru had always restore or at least comforted them, even though Kasumi had always said that it was pointless.)
Kasumi is very forceful. Mentally, her persistence has gotten her many things. Physically, although not the heaviest, she is powerful.
Although Kasumi is an extrovert, she likes to spend most of her time in solitude or with the company of Haru. When she is not in seclusion, she would be hunting or mentoring.
She is also very seclusive despite being an extrovert. She does not share her feelings or talk about her misfortunes. Kasumi keeps her emotions hidden very well. Usually, she bottles up her emotions and explodes. The only one to ever see this explosion was Haru.
