Biography
Hiraeth was a gentle giant in a land of cruelty. The weak were killed. The strong prospered.
When his mother was pregnant again, he thought nothing of it. Another season, another litter, another runt to abandon. Yet this litter was different. A little black pup was born, one that was disabled. Unfortunate, as her pelt was beautiful and it would be a waste of a life. Hiraeth still was not worried. This was the law of the land.
As the youngest of the mother's grown pups, the male had to frequently watch the pups. And he grew attached to the little black one. Despite her disabilities she always seemed energetic and ready to run. So when the day of abandonment came, he begged his parents to keep the pup.
They were not discouraged. And when they turned to leave, Hiraeth did not follow. Instead he moved to retrieve the pup, and left the lands of their birth. Hiraeth would be Zephyr's caretaker.
