His claws dug into the earth beneath him. He was frustrated as he once again watched the wolves who hurt him walk away. He wanted to hurt them like they hurt him but he couldn't, not yet anyway.
One of them threw another insult over their shoulder and finally something in him snapped. He was done with their torment. He lunged at the one walking in the middle, taking a chunk out of his leg. The other two barked out in surprise and ran to find someone while the one under him was fighting for his life. Oden didn't see the male beneath him bleeding out with every bite, he didn't see him stop breathing. He kept clawing, biting, tearing at his tormentor.
When the Alpha arrived and tore Oden away he saw what he had done. He murdered the wolf horribly, everyone standing around were too shocked to speak. Not only did Oden kill the wolf, he killed the Alpha's son: his future Alpha. He felt a satisfaction with what he had done yet with felt horrible and betrayed by his own emotions.
The Alpha's growls broke Oden's silence. When he looked up at the Alpha, guilt flooding his features, he was met with the male's sharp claws. He cried in agony as he felt blood dripping down his grey fur. His vision was completely black in one of his eyes and he knew the Alpha did this on purpose. After all his only dream was to become the best fighter in the pack. He tried desperately to ignore the whispers and the snarky comments as he passed by. He was feeling suffocated and trapped and after that day he was feared by the pups, watched by the mothers, and observed by the higher ranks to make sure he wouldn't kill another so brutally again, only for them to realize he was growing much stronger than they would have ever thought.
