Biography
Black Pearl couldn't sit still ever since he was a pup. He could never spend a long time in one place, always craving travels, new experiences and adventure. For this reason, he has been in and out of many different packs. He simply never felt right in any of them.
He joined Luka's pack when the original alpha wasn't around anymore. Black Pearl was invited to join by the original alpha female Raven. He immediatelly took a liking to this old, wise and kind wolf so he decided to give Luka's pack a try.
As time passed, Black Pearl found himself more at peace than he has ever felt before. Even though being in this pack didn't solve all his problems, he felt like he finally belonged somewhere.

Black Pearl is generally a friendly and cheerful wolf but there are days when he feels distant and lost. At times like that, he becomes brooding and quiet. The heavy feeling usually passes in a few days but Black Pearl deeply hates those episodes of inexplicable mental instability.
Black Pearl is a deep thinker and sometimes he gets stuck in dark and incomprehensible thoughts. Black Pearl often overthinks many different things and gets himself in a difficult state. He doesn't want to be like this, it just happens naturally.
He tries to maintain easy, honest and warm relationships with all members of the pack (from Pack Life: Sparrow shivers a little and Black Pearl cuddles up to them to warm up) but he has trouble bonding with someone on a deeper level. Black Pearl doesn't get too close to other wolves, usually due to his fear of being a burden and a disappointment once they learn of his mental problems.
Black Pearl's bright and positive exterior doesn't give away the other, more somber side of him. He puts on this mask to be accepted. He's afraid that he would be misunderstood, ridiculed and rejected if he showed his inner turmoil to the world.

Preferences
Black Pearl enjoys spending time alone and surrounded by nature.
However, he also likes the company of certain wolves. As much as he likes to keep things casual, Black Pearl feels a respectful admiration for Raven.
He also really likes the alpha pair - Hanzo and Sky. Black Pearl always sticks around the two, engaging in simple conversations or joining them on a hunt. He likes Sky's easy-going, sweet and bubbly personality. As for Hanzo, Black Pearl doesn't quite understand himself why he's so drawn to the older wolf. Perhaps he's just attracted to Hanzo's proud posture and sharp mind.
The feelings Black Pearl has for these wolves are mutual, even though he would never let himself think so optimistically. In reality, Raven is highly interested in the much younger wolf who has such a unique outlook on life and enjoys all of the time she gets to spend with him. Sky also deeply likes Black Pearl for his kind and friendly personality, as well as his comfortable company, while Hanzo is intrigued and amused by Black Pearl's way of thinking and speaking, and is even willing to let his guard down around the younger wolf.
The only wolf that Black Pearl feels he has a chance with, is October. For some reason, Black Pearl trusts October more than anyone else and doesn't feel the need to hide his true self so much when he's around him. Being with October puts his mind at peace and helps him relax. Black Pearl has a big soft spot for this wolf. He sometimes gets concerned that he's taking it too far but it's not so simple to get rid of these strong affections.
