Biography
Iqniq trotted out of the den with his nose high in the air, smelling the crisp, cool mountain air. He'd been in that cave far too long. Keeping his paws clear of the mud pools that had formed after last night's rain, he broke into a swift gallop, making no sound as his paws flew over the leaves. The wind blew through his fur, changing the extravagant pattern ever so slightly. He came to a stop at a small cliff overlooking his den and many others. He saw two small pups play fighting in the clearing with exquisite pelts. He grinned, recognizing them as his own, even if they lived in another pack. A she- wolf stared at him intently, her eyes moving over the patterns that adorned his coat. He licked a small bit of dusk of his fur, self- consciously. Suddenly, a huge mound of fur fell onto his back. He fell to the ground in surprise. "Atuun! ," he exclaimed. The large black wolf laughed, " Long time no see, huh? All you do is sit there and lick your fur in the den," he said. "Aww, come on, your just jealous you aren't as handsome as I am," said Iqniq, happily rubbing his friend's nose. "Whatever Icky Iqniq," teased Atuun. "Are you in a signing mood?" "You bet I am! ," replied Iqniq. Together the two wolves howled at the setting sun silencing the forest, who stopped to listen to the perfect harmony of the two wolves.
