YEAR ONE
Duchess Lily was surprised to see a black pup in one of her litters, and decided to keep this pup and name him Coal
YEAR TWO
Coal meets his family, and his older brother, Silver.
YEAR THREE
Lily announced that she will not become Empress once Harmony turns ten. Both Coal and Silver start to fight over it.
YEAR FOUR
Coal sired a son named Shaggydog, who, like him, has a solid black coat.
YEAR FOUR
Silver and Coal fight more. Harmony has no other heir to the throne, and either one of the two brothers can take the throne. The tension rises too much.
The two brothers get in a claw to claw fight.
Coal takes the first move and tears left Silver's ear.
Silver kicks Coal with his back legs in the chest, knocking Coal into the air.
Coal lands on the ground, but gets back up and grabs silver's neck.
Silver tries to shake Coal off, but couldn't
Coal leaves a large wound on Silver's neck and leaves a scar.
Silver flinched.
Coal taunts Silver about failing his duties as Duke, and producing zero living offspring.
Silver is hurt by these words and blindly charges at Coal and manages to sink his fangs into Coal's skull.
Coal Flinches.
Silver Snaps down, praying to kill Coal.
Coal comes back to his scenes and somehow does a magnificent back flip and knocks Silver off.
Silver is frozen in surprise.
Coal takes his chance and pins Silver to the ground, permanently fracturing Silver's spine.
Coal is victorious. He howls with joy and victory. Not only did he outsmart his own brother, but he has also fulfilled his duty as Duke. Lily is proud of Coal, and disappointed in Silver. Coal laughs whenever he sees Silver. The scar on Silver's neck reminds everybody of Coal's victory. If there is no female heir in Harmony's last litter, he will become the first Lord in the Nightfall Empire.
YEAR FIVE
Still no female heir to the throne. Harmony breeds one last time, desperate for an heir. Coal prays that doesn't happen.
YEAR SIX
It seems like the world has flipped. A female was born. Coal was devastated. He had lost the strong friendship with his brother, and has lost the throne. There is no way to become a Lord now.
Coal: "Why must this happen to me?"
Silver: "Now look who is laughing! your pathetic, Coal! Give it up!"
YEAR SEVEN
Coal keeps getting bites and snarls from his friends.
YEAR EIGHT
Coal reaches 100 pups. Of those pups are Five black fur pups like him.
