Another tip i can give is breed your females on fall 3 so pups will be born on spring 1 you dont have to its just a tip if you want a year to put character points into them before they turn to for battle training them

Biography
Essence:

Essence carries with him the legacy of many legendary mela wolves lost to time. Including my very first high rarity wolf Jackdaw. He is one of the last pups of my latest high rarity mela Cerberus who passed not too long ago.

He passes on the torch of the legendary melas to his son Eclipse who hopefully will keep the flame going.

Soon Essence is due to join his ancestors in the after life but for now he gets to enjoy the comforts of living with his familty until that time comes, whenever it does. I will miss him when he's gone.
