Ma'at - Goddess of Justice, Order, and Truth
She was born and raised to something much more than a pack.
More... but not better.
Each day was a race. A race that would make Ma'at so scared that she had to start hiding her tears till no one was around. In the mid of night, she would lay on the cold ground tears rolling down her cheeks. She couldn't make a sound. If she raise any suspicion the guards would notice. Silent tears washed over her face every night, as she assume did many of the females in this 'pack'.
But she.
She was different. They treated her with no respect, no remorse, and no words. The beatings were just as silent as her crying. Her scars were reopened everyday, but she had grown use to it over time. Every scar numbed the pain, to the point where they started finding new spots to rake and rip violently. Her face, her neck, her back, her flank, and the most on her stomach. The stomach was the best spot she could have hoped for. At least she could hide the ones on her stomach.
This pack was run like a cult. The females were sacrificed no matter the rarity. A pretty pelt meant you were a prettier prize... but Ma'at. She was pretty.
She was pretty until she was scared to a point of no return. they knew well of the scars on her stomach so it really didn't matter to them how glossy and thick her pelt was on her back, because her stomach was dying.
No pups.
This was a problem in her 'cult' like family. It wasn't her fault. In fact, it was their fault. They made wounds beyond repair. Wounds that never healed properly. They made permanent damage to her body and mental state.
She was physically free now, but memories of the trauma visited her on a day to day basis.
She was not Free...
at least not mentally...
