His eyes held fairies and star dust. As they whirled around the trees;; a stirring stick mixing the browns, the greens, the grays. until it made him sick. His head bobbed. Dancing within the air like a spinning carousel. Dipping, and diving. Only to rise and tip. A sickly sweet smile came next. And in three, two, one, he was laying upon his back. Skin scrunched, fur splayed.
He felt totally, and utterly free.
Tongue lolling, and absolutely buzzed to the point where the spring air felt bitter, Space stared up at the sky. Like a child in a day dream, he extended his legs. Letting his limbs bounce as he gazed upon them in awe;; like this was his first experience with them. Bouncy bouncy bouncy.
Space's smirk grew into a lopsided grin. Something that stretched from ear to ear and back again. There was something maniacal to it. Something, grotesque.
Perhaps his smile didn't fit his face. He knew this well.
A life filled with so much damn decadence could only be upheld by so much duct tape until it crumbled to the ground in a fiery rage.
Duct tape could barely hold water;; how could it hold tears?
Dandelion sprigs tickled at his nose, making him violently convulse in the makings of a sneeze before he returned to his otherwise somber position of doing absolutely nothing except count the stars that floated above him in the clear-morning sky.
After a few moments, a few possible moments, his entire energy changed.
His eyes slowly drifted downward;; curtains drawing closed upon his optics. His body came to a rest. A nearly tame calm that seemed odd, and out of place.
Like gun-slinging in the mist of a romantic comedy.
Space's legs stopped their twiddling, and his maw shrank down to comfortably tilt to the side;; relaxed. He hugged his once extended limbs to his own being. Causing his body to feel tight. However, he enjoyed it.
He enjoyed it perhaps a little too much.
The wind seemed to console Space with a vague "hush hush". Stretching out its invisible fingers to pat him upside the head;; scratching at his ears, wringing through his fur. he'd purr if he could.
Space allowed the darkness to set in. Allowing the outside images of trees, the sun, the clouds above, and the rain of years ago, to float away, away, and away. He made them float away.
