"Maverick."
He felt her touch like a burn. Her gentle finger brushing against his skin. He shuddered, feeling the undefinable urge to lean into her, wrap himself into her grasp. He didn't want to. He couldn't.
Her simple existence was a poison. A toxin, every breath she took released a devil. Every step she took, the world was coming closer to an end. Everytime she loved, someone died. He felt her hand smooth over his face as he caught her gaze. "Maverick...Maverick..." She uttered so softly, so gently.
He felt her arms suddenly wrap around him, burning him, lighting his skin with the fiercest fire. It was like teeth, her touch sinking themselves into his skin, leaving marks, dreadful marks. He willingly sank into her grasp, following her enchanting words as she uttered them to him.
Then he went down.
The feiry touch she had encircled him with turned on him.
He collapsed before her, pleading, as he fell into the the dark abyss of her blank eyes.
"I'm sorry." She whispered in that same, enchanting, gentle voice. Then he fell, forever.
